Sunday dinner, auction set for W-WCHS this Sunday at noon

The First United Methodist Church will have a Sunday Dinner and Auction at the Washington- Wilkes Comprehensive High School Cafeteria on Sunday, October 22.

The sit-down dinner of turkey and dressing and all the trimmings will be served by the youth of the church from noon until 2 p.m. Tips will be appreciated. The auction will begin about 1 p.m.

Tickets are $10 each and all proceeds from the dinner and auction will provide funds for the building of a new fellowship hall. The tickets are available at Petal Pushers Too, McDonald's, Fievet Pharmacy, or by calling the church office at 706-678-7116.

Talents and treasures to be auctioned after the lunch include an impressive array of services and other items.

Some of the Items to be auctioned are a day of decorating your home by Shay at Petal Pushers Christmas; a makeover of your garage by the "Clean Sweep Crew;" dinner for four in the country; Dr. Pepper chill and grill set; Edisto Beach weekend in a five-bedroom condo; homemade desserts for a year; horseback riding lessons; Jeff Gordon #24 official pit crew jacket, size XL; landscape design package (including goldfish pond if desired); one-of-akind Washington-Wilkes afghan; professional cleaning service; pure silver and gold coins; St. Augustine condo, one week stay; St. Simon's Island condo, one week stay; Surf & Turf or steak dinner for four; travel planning services including airport delivery and pickup; original art, electronics; and lots more.

There will also be a variety of crafts, baked goods, and other items available for sale.
