2nd Time Around wins in N.C., now it's on to Southern States

Baby STAMF Catchers Dream was Best in Females at the Great Smokey Mountain Show.
Second Time Around Mini Farm will be heading to the Southern States Llama Regional Competition at the end of this month. Farm owner Vicky Moses will be handling the opening ceremonies at the event with all the youth who have competed throughout the year taking part.

Many emails and letters have already gone out seeking donations for premiums for the youth because many are not able to go to Nebraska for nationals and barely can get to the shows. Contributions would be greatly appreciated made out to Karen Pihera, Superintendent and sent to Second Time Around. All will be recognized throughout the show, a real benefit for Washington- Wilkes.

"We are looking for a group or individual to represent Wilkes County with the singing of the National Anthem," Moses said. "Anyone interested should call me the specifics at 706-678-4902.

The most recent news is that Second Time Around won "Best In Show "at the North Carolina State fair held in Asheville, N.C. last weekend. MSf Venus brought the trophy home which states that she was overall winner among all the Grand Champions of the show.

That accomplishment took seven years and "we are awfully proud," Moses said.

Baby STAMF Catchers Dream came in at the Great Smokey Mountain Show with Best in Females, by judge two.

Grand Nationals, held in Nebraska, will represent Washington and Wilkes County with the farm in contingent, so if you would like to be represented please mail your flyers, information, etc. to the farm. "We sure would like to take donations for the special needs program that Second Time Around sponsors each year," Moses said. "A bright eye of many handicapped children is a win in itself.

"All of us in at the farm hope to see you at Regionals."
