Just a thought

      Enough with the tattoos already. Years ago they called a woman with a lot of tattoos a slut. Now they have them all over their bodies and they call them ladies. It has become an accepted popular thing that has totally gotten out of control and has become a social insatiable obsession.

      Wendell Berry is a poet, essayist, and novelist. Andy Catlett is a fictionalized memoir, reflecting Berry's love of his native land. The subtitle is "Early Travels," and the travels are early indeed, as nine-year-old Andy rides the bus by himself for the first time to visit his grandparents.
