Tigers get first win, beat Dawson 34-6

      Last Friday night, the Washington Wilkes Tigers started their region schedule off with a bang, defeating the Dawson County Tigers by a score of 34-6. Both the offense and defense were impressive for Washington, showing that the tough opening games of the year really paid off.

Boys win CC meet; Coe is first again
      The first home meet for the Washington Wilkes Cross Country Tigers was held last Thursday, September 20, with fiveteams competing including Taliaferro County, Morgan County, Franklin County, Thomson and W-W. The Tiger Boys won the meet followed by Taliaferro,Thomson and Morgan counties.
