Report was confusing; Dr. Kirk is not retiring Dr. David T. Kirk is not retiring. At least not in the foreseeable future. A report in last week's issue of this newspaper made it sound otherwise and for that, The News-Reporter apologizes. In her comments on beginning in medical practice here, Dr. Nadine Halliburton-Foster said that she was "getting some patients from doctors who are retired or are retiring" and included Dr. Hilliard and Dr. Kirk in her comment. Dr. Kirk's office was quick to point out that he has no plans to retire and he wants to reassure all his patients that he will continue in practice as he has for more than 20 years here. A letter to the editor from Dr. Kirk on page 4 of this issue explains further.
The News-Reporter regrets the inconveniences and misunderstandings caused by the report and wishes Dr. Kirk another 20 years in practice in Washington.
