W-WCHS students receive awards at annual Honors Day

Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School Honors Day 2008 was held at the school on Wednesday, May 21. Departmental awards and some individual awards were presented to students.

Students receiving awards included the following:

Band - John Pope, ninth grade; Shatrece Wooten, tenth grade; Christina Albertson, eleventh grade; and Thomas Booker, twelfth grade.

Health and Physical Education - Matson Keiser.

Weightlifting - Ana Perales and Quandarius Lewis.

Language Arts - English Department Award, Troy Colvard; Milton James and Rob Lovvorn, ninth grade; Jessica Murphy, tenth grade; Antonio Acree, eleventh grade; and Andrew Ramien, twelfth grade.

Foreign Language - Tynisha Walton and Lee Thomson.
