On the Attack

Never before in the history of mankind has satan been more on the attack, simply because, believe it or not, we are truly living in the final days before the return of Jesus Christ.

We've always heard of the signs of the times: wars and earthquakes and pestilence. Morals are at an alltime low; anything goes. Stress and all the troubles of life are caving in on folks. Hurricanes are getting worse. Great uncertainty, economical stress, diseases, bacteria, and viruses continue to destroy. Suicides are at an all-time high. More babies are being killed by abortion than all the deaths of all the wars. Drugs are slowly destroying a whole society. Prisons are flooded. Lives are being destroyed, and yet we preach prosperity rather than warning folks that they had better get ready to meet the Lord.

Satan is working overtime as the Bible says to even deceive the very elect. Even some preachers have become soothsayers instead of prophets that preach the gospel and warn folks of impending doom.

And yes, I believe in being as positive as anyone, because true faith is positive and truth is positive. Amen! Preach the truth and tell folks the truth. The truth is that all these signs are not signs of hopelessness,

but rather of hope in Christ. As Paul the apostle said, "If only in this life we have hope then we are among all men most miserable." What a powerful truth!

Our hope lies

in eternal life. Glory to God!

One of the greatest ways that satan is attacking folks is through their minds. If he can destroy your mind then he's got the rest of you. We need to pray, "Lord, place a barrier around my mind. Renew my mind daily, I pray. I know the doctors will say there's a medical breakthrough and we are near a cure for this and that and thank God for all the good they are doing. But the truth is that our hope lies in God Almighty. Our hope lies in our relationship with Him.

In life there is always going to be sin, sickness, and suffering, so we need to focus our attention on heaven where there won't be all this sorrow and heartache. Satan is attacking even the elect with mental disorders of all types -- sexual obsessions; drug and alcohol addictions; and suicides are being committed by the unlikely. Folks that work in the church and have professional jobs commit suicide and yet we say that everything will be all right if we will just get a little more money and stuff.

The abundance of our lives and the richness of our lives consist in Him. We may say, "Well, how can a church-goer commit suicide?" Going to church by itself doesn't put you where you need to be with God. We can go to church all our lives and still be lost. Mankind really doesn't have the answer, but God does.

I trust Him because He can do what man can't do. He can see into the future. Some are depressed more and more and medically they say that it's a chemical imbalance. Many seek psychiatric help and they are put on many anti-depressants that seem to help at first and then seemingly some get worse.

The lady with the issue of blood went to touch the hem of the Great Physician. The doctors had done all they could but God did the rest.

When there seems to be no hope, oh yes, there's hope in Him. Can you say amen?
