The Unicorn Girl author signs new novel
Washington author Melissa LeGette signs a copy of her young adult fantasy novel,
The Unicorn Girl, for former W-WMS teacher Mark Melton at Saturday's book signing at the Mary Willis Library. The literary event was attended by dozens of friends and family, including parents Charlie and Sandy LeGette, brother Ben, and sister and editor, Casie, who said, "I've been working closely with Melissa through this process, to see both book and author grow and take shape." The author read the first three pages of her novel, and spoke of the inspiration and the process of writing, and how her writing has changed in the six years since she began the novel. Local artist Mae Jones, who did the book's cover, joined the author at the signing.
