International students get a taste of Americana

Students from the international training group at the Navy Supply Corps School in Athens visited Kerry McAvoy's treasure-filled shops and garages Tuesday afternoon, getting a look at the old cars, garage signs, tool collections, and other Americana that fills the McAvoy property. In addition to their visit to the McAvoy home, some 10 students from Argentina, Greece, the Philippines, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Ghana enjoyed lunch at the Fitzpatrick Hotel, toured the Washington Historical Museum, and Callaway Plantation, International Training Director Larry Pruitt said.
