Roy Lewis Palmer

A graveside memorial service for Roy Lewis Palmer, 67, of Rayle was held Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at the Hephzibah Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Allen Danner officiating. He died Tuesday, June 17, in the Medical College of Georgia Medical Center, Augusta.

Mr. Palmer was a native of Wilkes County and was the son of the late Robert Lewis Palmer and the late Joanne Yelton Palmer. He was a retired automobile body technician and a member of the Newtown Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Cheryl Palmer, Washington, Glenn and Sharon Palmer, Lincolnton, and Randy and Stephanie Palmer, Rayle; one sister, Dell Taylor of Washington; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hephzibah Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1750 Hephzibah Church Road, Lincolnton 30817.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
