Tommy and Sara Jackson honored at 50th Anniversary cookout May 25

Tommy and Sara Combs Jackson were honored on their 50th Wedding Anniversary at a cookout at the home of their grandchildren, Kevin and Lori Roth Tucker, in Washington Sunday, May 25. Their anniversary was May 24.

The outdoor event was hosted by their children and grandchildren.

Tables were decorated with festive bright green cloths and centered with arrangements of white daisies, pink peonies and green spider chrysanthemums. A large arrangement of these flowers also decorated the buffet.

Guests enjoyed a dinner of grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, coleslaw, baked beans, and chips.

For dessert guests enjoyed a three-tiered anniversary cake made by the couple's granddaughter, Lori Tucker. The cake featured a pink tier, yellow tier and green tier and Mrs. Tucker completed the design with handmade icing, white daisies that trailed down one side of the cake.

The couple was presented a money tree with the gift to be used for a trip to the mountains.

Attending with the guests of honor were son, Tommy Jackson of Panama City Beach, Fla; daughter and family, Angie and Tommy Roth, Lori, Kevin, Jake and Kolbi Tucker, and Patrick Roth, all of Washington, and Patrick's guest, Stephanie White of Eatonton; daughter and family, Tanya and Mike Smith, April and Jonathan Wheatley of Metasville, Anna Smith and guest, Justin Callaway, Michael Smith, and his guests, Alicia Clemmons and Dylan, all of Washington; daughter and family, Libby and Delma Walden and Jeremy of Washington; son, Joey Jackson, and guests, Charra Ramey and Shay, of Washington; also, Russell Godwin of Washington, and Hubert and Janet Edwards and granddaughter, Shea Walker, of Athens.

Unable to attend but sending gracious anniversary wishes were the couple's grandson and family, Craig and Stangela Roth, Ashley, Brittney, Makayla and CJ., who are in Jacksonville, Ark., where he is serving in the United States Air Force; and Mr. Jackson's sister and family, Doug and Tina Jackson Brandt of Bentonville, Ark.
